Beaten to a pulp by the pack outside a club, for no apparent reason. The victim is a 20-year-old boy resident in Sorso who, on the night between Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 December, was attacked in the urban center of Sennori.

It was around 4 in the morning when the 20-year-old went to the toilet in a bar in the heart of the town, where in the company of friends he had decided to end the evening in absolute tranquility.

A few hours earlier they had made a stop in Porto Torres, then the decision to change plans. The young man, given the conditions of the bathroom and the urgent need to urinate, goes out of the room in search of a sheltered corner. Surprised from behind, he was attacked by a group of people.

«Violently beaten, kicked and punched, on the face and body, after being stunned with a blow to the head», says the mother. "He didn't recognize his attackers, it was too dark, he doesn't even know how many there were." A local person witnesses the scene and decides to intervene. So he rescued the 20-year-old who, having been taken to another location, received first aid. The attackers flee. His friends also rushed to the scene and immediately accompanied him to the emergency medical service in Sorso. Then the rush to the emergency room of the Santissima Annunziata hospital in Sassari, together with his family.

"The doctors found a wound on his left eyebrow, bruises on his face and ears, but fortunately no serious trauma" explains his mother. «Only a few days of treatment but a lot of fear. The episode has already been reported to the Sennori police and I will convince my son to report the serious matter to the police."

A story told publicly with a letter to which the woman entrusted her outburst. A writing posted on 22 commercial establishments in Sennori. “Everyone is in solidarity with me, for this I thank them so much,” he says. "I did this to draw mothers' attention to a brutal episode that shocked me." The letter reads: «I am writing you these few lines to wish you a peaceful 2024 because the wounds, the bruises, the swelling heal but I believe that stitches and plasters are not enough to heal restless souls. Guys who form a pack to beat just one to death need help. It is not nice to see a child in the conditions in which I saw mine, but for this very reason I hope you recover yours and be able to talk to them. A mother from Sorso to the mothers from Sennori ».
