Following this morning's tensions between activists and Terna technicians, law enforcement has decided to close - for security reasons - access to the area where the lands under forced expropriation scheduled for today are concentrated.

«The protest against Terna, which is carrying out forced expropriations in the Selargius countryside, continues today», say the No Tyrrhenian link committee.

" We want the President of the Region Alessandra Todde to take charge of the legitimate protest of the population and intervene with Terna to stop the work on the Tyrrhenian Link. There are legal appeals and reports to the prosecutor's office pending against Terna and, more seriously, the memorandum of understanding between the municipality of Selargius and Terna that allows the joint stock company to operate in the municipal territory where there is a mayor and an administration elected by the people has not been signed".

Also present on site were Deputy Mayor Gabriella Mameli, Prime Minister Tonino Melis, and Democratic Party group leader Omar Zaher.
