Sedda Murder, 20-Year-Old Arrested in Front of GIP for Questioning

The preliminary hearing for Emanuele Sircana, the 20-year-old from Porto Torres accused of the murder of Mario Sedda, the street poet killed on the night between March 29 and 30, 2021, at the entrance to the city of Torres, has been set for Saturday 7 June.
The young man, locked up in the juvenile prison of Quartucciu, will appear at 9:30 before the preliminary investigations judge of the juvenile court to answer questions regarding the crimes he is accused of: aggravated homicide for having used torture and for having acted with cruelty, as well as desecration of a corpse for having disfigured the body with chemical products.
The body of Sedda, 39 years old, was found two days later, on April 1, in the green area between via Sassari and via dell'Erica, at the entrance to the city.
On the body were the signs of torture, kicks and punches, with wounds caused by a large stone and inflicted by a cutting weapon, a ceramic knife with a 20-centimeter blade broken, stuck in the cheekbone. The lawyer Alessandra Delrio defended the alleged murderer.
