Over 60 Sardinian precarious teachers met under the Regional Council building in via Roma in Cagliari to present their requests to the President of the Regional Council Comandini: "We will ask him to take an interest in the school not only through regulations", comments Andrea De Giorgi, representative of Cobas Cagliari, "but also through an action in coordination with the universities for the training of teachers, because if we want a quality Sardinian school, we must first take care of the initial training and ongoing training of teachers; therefore, we must not waste resources in projects, as has been done in the past and as is still done today".
For the union representative it is important to "support the school from a structural point of view and support it with staff, which is not currently possible due to the distinctions of competence between the State and the Regions. This can be done if a framework law is made and in any case we aim for the fact that the Sardinian school must also be supported by the region, which must know a thousand problems in which the State, that is, the governments that have followed one another, have thrown the public school".
At the end of the morning, the summit with the II Commission for Work, Culture and Professional Training of the RAS: the precarious teachers, represented by the Cobas Scuola Cagliari, the ESP Movement - Education without Price, Sardinian precarious workers in the classroom and the Coordination of Excluded Suitable Teachers, then spoke about the responses received from the Via Roma Commission, declaring themselves satisfied.
