Driving an ambulance , and despite having at least two alternative and shorter routes, he chose to switch to sirens blaring in a cordoned-off area of Sassari where a show was taking place in Piazza d'Italia.

Furthermore, along the way, he did not give priority to some pedestrians who had already started crossing on the strips.

The driver's behavior ended up in the crosshairs of the local police who notified three reports to a voluntary association with the deduction of 13 points from the driver's license of the vehicle and a fine of over 800 euros.

Based on the reconstruction of the agents of the Via Carlo Felice Command, the man decided to cross the closed area - with a special order communicated in time to 118 and through this to all the associations concerned -, disturbing the artistic performance in progress, frightening the over 900 people present and risking causing injuries, although there were numerous alternatives that were even shorter and safer.

The route was monitored by the local police from the starting point to the place where the ambulance was supposed to arrive - at the end of via Roma, where there was a person waiting for help - and evaluated, in addition to alternative routes, the futility of turning on the sirens in that single stretch. The driver demanded that the barriers be moved and crossed the whole square at high speed, blocking the show, before exiting towards via Roma.
