Missing elderly woman found in Arbus: car crashed into embankment

She had ended up off the road with her car: Maria Bonaria Onnis, the seventy-three-year-old from Arbus who had been missing since yesterday evening , has been found.

Having moved to Rome some time ago, she had returned to the village to spend her holidays on the Costa Verde: she had lunch with her brother, then set off by car towards the coast, to her house in Guttur'e Flumini, and no one had heard from her since.

This morning the discovery: she had been involved in a car accident. Her car was at the bottom of an embankment, having gone off the road.

The sighting was made by firefighters who were flying over the area with a helicopter.

On site, in addition to the Carabinieri, the firefighters and 118, with an ambulance from Torre dei Corsari: the elderly woman's condition is still being assessed.
