A lane in viale Trento in Sassari reopened to traffic this morning as announced in recent days by the Municipality. This is the descending side that leads in the direction of viale Umberto and via Bellieni, again available for vehicular passage after the long stop caused by the partial subsidence of the road axis following the heavy rains of September 2020.

The works will now affect the other lane while pedestrians will be able to walk on the sidewalk of the side which is now accessible to cars but not to public transport.

The timing of the time schedule provides that the construction site for the safety of the avenue, led by the Ticca company and coordinated by the Municipal Mobility Department, will end with the reopening of the entire carriageway by the end of the summer, thus respecting, barring unforeseen events , the eight-month deadline set.

INVESTMENT - One million and two hundred thousand euros - one million and one hundred from the Region and one hundred thousand from the municipal administration - the money invested for the work within a broader framework aimed at mitigating the city's hydrogeological risk through a series of projects for which ten million of financing has already been found.

The intent is to resolve once and for all the hydrogeological and geotechnical instability from the aqueduct area to that of Predda Niedda with targeted interventions on the Rio Calamasciu, the Rio Giuncheddu, on via Sorso-viale Sicilia and the Fosso della Noce.
