«In Sassari we have favelas a stone's throw from the cemetery» . The complaint comes from those who go to visit their loved ones and from those who work near the entrance on via Predda Niedda. "For over a month", they complain, "every morning we have found carpets of broken bottles on the asphalt". But this is the minimum because the view outside is third world. "There are bras and thongs hanging on the branches and rubbish of all kinds."

At night that stretch of road is occupied by several women in scanty clothing. «There are about thirty of them, none of them of Italian nationality». They stay nearby for hours and sometimes take shelter behind bushes. «They leave syringes and vials of methadone . They throw everything into the containers and leave condoms full of blood in the jars."

It is the operators themselves who have to start cleaning, also because those windows have punctured several tires. "Not to mention the potholes in the road , real chasms." The appeal is addressed to those responsible to intervene. «It sucks here. Such disrespect for the cemetery and its dead cannot be tolerated."
