Spicy hearing in the Culture Commission of Sassari of the councilor Laura Useri. The minority councilors Rizzu, Pinna and Fundoni returned to what they defined as a " failure that had an echo throughout Sardinia " and recalled that the hearing had already been requested the day after the event that greeted the arrival of 2023. They underlined that the 66 thousand euros spent were a waste and then renewed the request for resignation.

Councilor Useri admitted: «A choice was made to involve more squares in the New Year's Eve and the goal was to embrace four different areas but the expected response was not received, when the expression of interest was made, she only replied a dance school that has made an offer for all squares. We recognize that there was no response, perhaps we could have channeled everything in Piazza Castello but we wanted the 4 squares. For next New Year's Eve we will organize differently. As for my resignation, I have neither stolen nor done any damage, so there are no prerequisites».

Councilors Fundoni and Ginesu then touched on the Sardinian Cavalcade, scheduled for May 21, citing the groups ( including that of Tempio Pausania ) who will not participate because they consider the reimbursement of expenses insufficient.

The commissioner replied: «The controversy is dated because the protest of some groups on the reimbursement of expenses is historical, the novelty is that they shared it on social networks, but we have foreseen a 10% increase on the consolidated historical one, with maximum transparency. The Region gives us a third of what we spend, if we as a city are willing to increase the budget with expenses that weigh on the citizens, we will do it. We certainly don't want to take the shine off the event and the city. We are open to anything."
