He tries to sell alloy wheels online and finds himself defrauded of over two thousand euros . It happened in 2018 to a 40-year-old from Sassari who on the website Subito.it had placed an advertisement for the sale, at the price of 500 euros, of some alloy wheels from a Mini Cooper.

He was then contacted by a man, posing as a member of the police force, who showed his interest but asked that the Sardinian pay him a thousand euros to guarantee the sale . Which the man had done, later giving another 1090 euros in response to a further request . Then when the fake buyer asked for even more, the man from Sassari became suspicious and filed a complaint.

And just yesterday, in court in Sassari, the trial ended which saw the sentence, formulated by judge Valentina Nuvoli, to one year in prison and a 500 euro fine for the fraudster, a 69-year-old from Salerno . The prosecutor was Paola Manunza, the civil party lawyer Antonio Secci, the defense lawyer Raffaele Rocco.
