The report is ready for the case of the 25-year-old in the fifth week of pregnancy who lost her baby after being rejected by the obstetric-gynecological emergency room of the Aou in Sassari for the "unavailability" of a molecular swab.

Alessia Nappi and her husband Enzo ask only for justice. "Last Saturday - he recalls - we went to the clinic because Alessia accused stomach pains and some blood loss. At the entrance a midwife asked what symptoms she had and if she had the result of a molecular swab for Covid. My wife - he explains - he has already done two doses of vaccine and booked the third one, but he hadn't done any swabs before going to the clinic urgently. He was asked to be able to do it there, but it was not possible. We waited 20 minutes in the room waiting while my wife continued to have leaks. Then the midwife told us that she had talked to the doctor and that, being the first month of her pregnancy, there was nothing they could do anyway. She told us to go at home, take a tachipirina and come back on Monday with the result of the molecular swab ".

"In the parking lot of the clinic - she continues - Alessia had severe pain and was bleeding. We got home and there she had a heavy bleeding. She lost the baby we wanted so much. It was an inhumane thing, my wife was not in the emergency room. not even seen by a doctor. Now we want justice. " Assisted by the lawyer Gabriele Sechi, the couple will therefore file a complaint.

The case will also land in Parliament, where the senator of Forza Italia, Enrico Aimi, announced a question: "What happened in the obstetric emergency room in Sassari is of unprecedented gravity. Every responsibility must be ascertained and I will dutifully present a question to the minister della Salute to understand if there are profiles of responsibility for what occurred ".

THE MINISTRY INSPECTION - Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health has ordered an inspection of the clinic's emergency room to shed light on the matter. The inspectors of the Ministry will arrive in Sassari in the next few days to check how the facts have unfolded and ascertain any responsibilities: the press office of the same ministry informs them.

The Aou also launches an internal investigation: "The strategic management has asked the relevant company structures to start an internal audit with all the parties concerned so that we can clarify what actually happened". "We are sorry for what happened to the lady", concludes the management.
