Sassari: Police rescue abused and malnourished dog; owner reported

The State Police in Sassari rescued a mixed-breed dog, malnourished and forced to live in its own excrement .

Two officers from the flying squad noticed him and, in addition to his serious health conditions, also found that he had problems walking in his hind legs and was partially hairless on his back .

The police alerted animal protection officers and the relevant health service to ensure the animal received the necessary care. The dog was taken to a shelter for specialized care, while the owner was reported for animal cruelty .
