There is a date - still approximate - for the opening to four-lane traffic of the entire lot 2 of Sassari-Olbia . By the end of next spring, the entire lot, 12 kilometers long and costing 112 million euros, will be completed and will be connected to lot 3. By the end of October, however, another 4 kilometers will be accessible (again from lot 2) in addition to to the two already operational.

Next summer, 9 out of 10 lots will be completed along the road. Only lot 4 will be missing, so the end of the works is expected at the end of 2023 .

This was announced by the Sardinia Region after the inspections on the Sassari-Olbia and on the Statale 131 in which the councilor for Public Works Aldo Salaris , the managing director of Anas Aldo Isi, the head of the Sardinian department of Anas Francesco Ruocco and the other representatives of Anas.

As for the 131, the 40 million euro modernization and adaptation works cover more than 8 kilometers of road (from 23 + 885 to 32 + 412) and will improve safety. Kilometers from 23 to 27 will open by April, at Nuraminis .

On the state road there are also other works in addition to those on the roadway: the Nuraminis junction , the coplanars and five other works whose main one is a 30-meter viaduct. On the other hand, work on the viaduct near the Macomer junction is expected to be completed at the end of June.

In the Paulilatino area , also affected by several incidents, the commissioner explained that the Region and Anas are waiting from the Ministry of the Environment for the completion of the implementation verification procedure necessary to start the works and link them to the framework agreement for mass in safety of the junctions of the 131.

Salaris also asked for an acceleration for the Bonorva junction : the Bonorva sud one will be opened by November, while for Bonorva the north the forecast for completion of the works is set for December 2023.

Again, the maintenance of the overpasses at Bonannaro and Siligo : the first intervention, worth 800 thousand euros, should be completed by November 2022, the second, at around 750 thousand euros, by December 2022.
