A new episode of domestic violence rocked Sassari on the afternoon of August 18: a 28-year-old man was arrested by police after attacking his ex-partner, despite already being subject to a precautionary measure requiring him to be kept away from the family home and wearing an electronic bracelet.

The alarm was raised by a citizen, who reported the attack in real time to the Police Headquarters Operations Room.

The Flying Squad officers intervened immediately and found an injured person on the scene who had tried to separate the two contenders, also suffering personal injuries.

The victim, a 29-year-old woman, showed obvious signs of violence. The attacker, who already had a criminal record for domestic violence and resisting a public officer, was arrested in the act.
