A Sunday with jazz at the Teatro Verdi in Sassari. Another double concert (at 11 and 19) for the program of the 22nd edition of Jazzop review of original productions organized by the Blue Note Orchestra Association   in collaboration with the   Cooperative   Theater and/or Music .

The project proposes a double concert with the Sardinian Jazz Orchestra, this time directed by Gavino Mele . The Sardinian big band will be involved in the project “ My Favorite Tunes ”, an excursus through some of the fundamental stages of jazz, with songs by John Coltrane, Tom Harrell, Charlie Parker. The arrangement of the songs was curated by Luigi Giannatempo, a composer who has collaborated with Paolo Fresu and Fabrizio Bosso.

The program also includes compositions by saxophonist Rosario Giuliani , guest soloist, whose career began at a very young age with his entry into the RAI orchestra "Young Talents of European Jazz", and then continued with prestigious collaborations (Ennio Morricone, Charlie Haden, Bob Mintzer). Giuliani boasts a unique and original style that will help make the project even more valuable.
