A scary accident on highway 291 with consequences that could have been far more serious. For reasons yet to be ascertained, a 67-year-old man from Sassari was injured after going off the road with his car in the stretch between the two exits for Bancali, in the direction of Sassari.

The car, probably after a wrong manoeuvre, ended up on the ditch with the wheels in the air. The fire brigade team of the provincial command of Sassari intervened around 2.15 pm to extract the driver from inside the overturned car, and to secure the scene of the accident.

The man, fortunately not serious, was transported in yellow code to the civil hospital of Santissima Annunziata Sassari for checks. He got away with some grazes. The 118 health workers and the municipal police of Sassari intervened on the spot.
