The President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella awarded the Cross of the Military Order of Italy to the War Flag of the 152nd Infantry Regiment Sassari. The awarding took place in Venice this morning on the occasion of the Day of National Unity and the Armed Forces.
The Head of State, accompanied by the Minister of Defense Guido Crosetto, laid a laurel wreath at the Shrine of the Unknown Soldier at the Altar of the Fatherland . During the ceremony, the President of the Republic also awarded the Knight's Cross of the Military Order of Italy to the War Flags of the Navy and Naval Forces, of the 8th Artillery Regiment "Pasubio", the Combat Flag of the Marceglia Ship, and the War Flags of the 14th Wing and the 8th CC Regiment "Lazio".
