The initiative was born with the aim of involving students in the theme of social inclusion of people with different intellectual abilities , to which the Lorenzo Paolo Medas Foundation is dedicated by offering them free training by the owners and staff of entrepreneurial activities sporting, artistic and commercial character to facilitate their insertion in the world of sport, art and work.

The students Lara Satta , Gioia Eleonora Giola and Federica Spada , respectively from the classical, musical and dance courses of the Liceo Azuni, were awarded a study prize worth one thousand euros each by participating in the call for tenders for the project "A small step" promoted for the fourth grades of the institute by the Medas Foundation and financed by the German Car of Sassari. Carlotta Raiano from the classical high school and Marco Cavalleri from the musical high school were instead awarded two out of competition prizes of five hundred euros each.

The classical high school students tried their hand at drafting a theatrical script inspired by the script of the story of the progressive inclusion in school of a student with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. The students of the musical high school composed the music to accompany the lyrics of the song "A small step" , while those of the choreutic address were asked to create a choreography inspired by the content of the song and to develop a free thought on the concept of inclusion .

The awards ceremony was held in the auditorium of the Liceo Musicale e Coreutico Azuni , in via de Carolis, in the presence of the Headmaster Antonio Deroma , Dr. Antonio Giovanni Medas and Dr. Irene Sofia Pinna, president and vice-president of the Foundation Lorenzo Paolo Medas, and Dr. Francesco Carlini, CEO of German Car.
