The confederal unions meet the GeNa workers in Sassari.

The institute, which cares for around a hundred people with disabilities, has been in dire financial straits for years and, a few weeks ago, the owners asked the court for an ongoing composition with creditors.

A move which, as the social partners explained yesterday at the meeting at Villa Gardonia, aims to prevent bankruptcy by "shielding" the company from foreclosures and injunctions.

«There are two fundamental dates in this sense - begins Antonio Monni, CISL Fp secretary - April 10th, when the company will present the contents of the repayment plan to the bankruptcy court, and April 16th when it will ask the Labor Court for the unblocking of the Durc".

The single contribution regularity document is essential to allow payments, including salaries, one of the sore points of the situation. Because the employees have only received half the salary for January and half for February and the future scenario is rather gloomy.

"The times will get longer - explains Augusto Ogana, Uil FP representative - the court must decide, and we cannot quantify how long it will take to do so".

There is great concern, also because there is little information, and the critical issues have dragged on for too long. «The problem - adds Paolo Dettori, general secretary of CGIL FP - is that two aspects need to be resolved: the increase in rates for guests and the economic contribution for the 15 accredited guests who are not yet employed». Decisions that fall to the Region, not taken by the previous council and which the new administration led by Alessandra Todde is expected to take. «The Opera Gesù Nazareno – urges Massimiliano Muretti, general secretary of the CGIL of Sassari – must become a problem for the whole territory». In the meantime, the approximately 100 employees are anxiously waiting for a way out.
