The S'Arexini tunnel, along the new 125 (a few kilometers from the junction for Muravera, San Vito and Villaputzu), will be closed to traffic today and tomorrow (from 7 am to 7 pm) in the “Cagliari-Muravera” direction only.

The decision was made by Anas for technical inspections following the first major modernization works, which were completed last June.

The highway authority explains that the restriction is intended "to ensure safe inspections inside the tunnel," an operation deemed essential for planning future work on the infrastructure. The measure, effective this morning, affects one of the most heavily used stretches of road between Cagliari and Ogliastra.

Traffic has once again been diverted along the old eastern Sardinian road that passes through the town of Muravera and reaches the village of San Priamo (Municipality of San Vito). From there, after another two kilometers, it is possible to rejoin the 125 Var.
