The Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security has formally started the authorization process for the Sardinian Link , Terna 's project that involves the reconstruction and modernization of Sardinia's electrical infrastructure along a route that crosses the island, increasing the transmission capacity between the hubs of Codrongianos (Sassari) and Selargius (Cagliari).

The aim of the project, for which the company led by Giuseppina Di Foggia will invest approximately 300 million euros , is to "make the regional electricity grid more efficient, safe and resilient," a statement explains, "ensuring greater continuity and quality of service."

With a total length of approximately 250 km , the infrastructure will guarantee an exchange power of 1,000 MW between the north and south of Sardinia.
