Sardinia, thunderstorms on the way: weather alert issued

The week is set to start with bad weather in Sardinia, where showers and thunderstorms are expected between Monday and Tuesday.

The regional Civil Protection has issued a weather alert for this reason. It's a yellow code warning for hydrogeological risk.

The areas most likely to be affected by hydrogeological risk are Iglesiente, Campidano, and Flumendosa.

According to the forecast, rain will arrive in Sardinia between late afternoon and evening on Monday and then in the Northwest, at times even quite heavy, and sirocco winds will kick in.
