Land, sea and sky, together in the blessing of the celebration of Santu Bainzeddu, patron saint of housewives and protector of farmers. The traditional procession was held this morning in Porto Torres, a long procession with the participation of flags and traditional costumes worn by members of the Intragnas cultural association.

Mass in the church of Balai Lontano officiated by Don Boniface Da, together with the parish priests of the diocese, Don Michele Murgia and Monsignor Salvatore Masia. All to signify the profound religiosity of the community that preserves a culture that time can only enhance.

The memory was addressed to those who with sacrifice and dedication worked in the fields to guarantee sustenance for the families who lived in the large district of San Gavino, where the peasants, breeders and farmers lived. The parish priest Boniface Da dedicated the homily to them and to the fishermen for the great economic and social function and enhancement of the fruits of the land and sea that have allowed the community to grow according to the values of sharing and brotherhood.

The procession immediately after mass along the coast road until you reach the beach of Balai where the blessing of the grain and the sea began, respecting the rite of restitution to the land of the "sipuschri", sprouted seedlings of wheat that represent rebirth of Christ and at the same time a wish for a good harvest.
