The dream is to see Santa Giusta overrun with tourists. A way to make the area known and to make all the accommodation facilities work and more. In the Municipality there is a desire for redemption after having failed to get any tourists to the lagoon country on the occasion of the arrival of the cruise ship at the industrial post last May 23rd . In fact, all of them reached nearby Oristano, Cabras and the Sinis coast.

In order not to miss a second chance, the administrators are now setting up a project to be presented to the Maritime Port Authority in anticipation of the arrival of another cruise ship at the end of next September, again in the industrial port of Oristano. The goal is therefore only one: to divert as many tourists as possible to Santa Giusta.

"Without taking anything away from the other localities", explains the deputy mayor Pier Paolo Erbì. «The first meeting between the administrators of San Giusta and the top management of the Port Authority already took place a few weeks ago. In the next few days», he continues, «there will be a second meeting to discuss a detailed proposal. Once again we will propose to be able to welcome tourists from our folk group in traditional costume », explains the deputy mayor Pierpaolo Erbì, «but not only. Our project plans to let tourists visit our basilica and the Romanesque center . We will also organize several boat trips in the pond in cooperation with the fishermen. It is our intention then to organize a market with all the typical products of the area for a tasting. Then stop at the eel of Mars. The program will naturally vary according to the time of arrival of the ship», concludes Erbì. «We also want to involve all the hospitality businesses in the area» .
