Sand, shells and pebbles seized from tourists at Alghero airport
The balance in just one month of activity by the ADM, the Guardia di Finanza and the staff of Sogeaal SecurityFrom 15 September to 15 October, as part of the checks on passengers in transit at Alghero airport, 19 kilos of sand, 23 kilos of pebbles and 7 kilos of shells were seized.
All material found by the officials of the Customs and Monopoly Excise Agency (ADM) together with the soldiers of the Guardia di Finanza of the Compagnia di Alghero and in collaboration with the staff of Sogeaal Security, hidden in the luggage of tourists of Hungarian, Czech, French, Austrian nationality , Italian and Spanish who intended to take home a "souvenir" of Sardinian beaches, regardless of the serious damage caused.
For them administrative penalties ranging from a minimum of 500 euros to a maximum of 3 thousand euros.
