San Vito, buys a chainsaw on Facebook but does not receive it: a 48-year-old was duped

The investigation by the San Vito carabinieri lasted several weeks to identify the perpetrator of an aggravated scam carried out against a 48-year-old from the town.

The man had responded to a fake Facebook ad to buy a chainsaw and had paid 470 euros . The seller , a 52-year-old from Cosenza, unemployed and with previous reports of similar crimes, never sent the object .

The military identified him by checking with colleagues from Cosenza who was the owner of the current account into which the money had been paid.
