The San Francesco di Nuoro soon returns to full capacity, but the reopening of the Emergency Department of the Cto di Iglesias is postponed.

These are the two news items arriving today on the Sardinian healthcare front.

The general manager of the Asl 3 of Nuoro Paolo Cannas makes it known that "the temporary reduction of some services" at San Francesco, which has become "unstoppable to ensure respect for holidays and the psychophysical well-being of health workers", is "in the process of being resolved" .

The company management, Cannas explains, "has already initiated the necessary interlocutors and actions to ensure, in the short term, the resumption of all those operating units in distress for which a reduction in activities was necessary".

The general manager also denies some feared closures: "The neonatal intensive care has never stopped its activity, nor are reductions or closures planned", he specifies.

The news coming from Iglesias is not good news, where the reopening of the CTO Emergency Department is still postponed , as communicated by the general director of the ASL: "If on August 22 the garrison is closed I will present a complaint to the Public Prosecutor", says the regional councilor by Idea Sardegna Carla Cuccu, who defines the management of Sulcitana health care by the regional council as “ a failure across the board ”.

“Let's not forget - adds Cuccu - that the commitment for the reopening of the Cto, scheduled first for 13 and then for 22 August, was taken on before the Health Commission of the Regional Council”.
