Carpet checks by the State Police, in Sardinia and in all other Italian regions, to check the correct use of seat belts and other safety devices mounted on cars.

The prevention campaign is called "RoadPol Seabelt" and sees Italian agents deployed on the front line to reduce - as part of an initiative involving the road police of other EU countries - the number of road fatalities and accidents.

During this week, the agents of the Traffic Police will therefore be present on all the main arteries of the Island and will carry out targeted checks to verify, as mentioned, the correct use of seat belts and restraint systems both by drivers and passengers on board the vehicles, paying particular attention, in the presence of children, to the correct use of child seats.
