The Prosecutor of Tempio has given the go -ahead for the return of the homes and the boat of Maria Giovanna Meloni and Giorgio Beccu, under investigation for the alleged killing (not yet proven) of the Olbia pensioner Rosa Bechere , of whom there has been no more news since the end of last November.

Therefore , an apartment in Monti (fraction of Su Canale), one in Olbia in via Pietro Aretino and the couple's barge were released (as requested by the couple's defender, the criminal lawyer Giampaolo Murrighile).

The buildings and the vessel have been subject to thorough checks of the Ris. It is difficult to interpret the meaning of the prosecutor's decision, but it is probable that the organic artefacts found inside the two houses and inside the boat (there was talk of the presence of traces of blood) did not provide relevant elements for the investigation.
