An autopsy on the body of Roberto Usai, the 21-year-old from Villanova Tulo who died on Monday while working in a prefabricated company in Isili, in Perd'e Quaddu, will be carried out this morning in the Department of Forensic Medicine of the Policlinico di Monserrato. The deputy prosecutor Emanuele Secci, after having formally opened a file with the hypothesis of manslaughter, instructed the coroner Ernesto Ferraro to clarify the causes of death. The name of the owner of the company, Luigi Demuro, has been entered in the register of suspects: an act as a guarantee that will allow him to appoint his own expert for any unrepeatable examinations.

The investigations

The dynamics of the tragedy are still unknown. The machinery on which the young worker was working were seized by the Public Prosecutor who also sent the teams of the Prevention and Safety of Workplaces Service, the Sprsal, to the site. The rest of the investigation is instead entrusted to the carabinieri of the Isili company coordinated by Captain Elias Pasquale Ruiu. The Sprsal experts will have to deliver to the public prosecutor a report on the safety rules present in the company and on the dynamics of the accident, the carabinieri have already begun to question the witnesses.

The dynamics

The dynamics of the accident remain smoky at the moment. According to the few leaked rumors, it seems that the young man was gripped by one of these machines which then would have dropped him. Another hypothesis, however, is that something has fallen on him. The fact is that Roberto Usai would have died from the trauma sustained during the accident, so much so that in the end the 118 rescuers could not do anything to save his life. Now we will have to wait for the coroner Ernesto Ferraro to complete the autopsy exam on the worker's body this morning, so as to clarify in detail what happened in those terrible seconds.

The shock

It is a silent pain that pervades the Sarcidano in the aftermath of the disappearance of the young worker from Villanova Tulo. The boy was loved and respected by everyone even within that factory where he was learning a trade that he liked and gave him satisfaction helped by more experienced colleagues.

Nobody can tell what happened. «We heard a loud and dull noise», says a young colleague of Roberto Usai who prefers to remain anonymous, «we immediately understood that something serious had happened. We achieved it, it was terrible ». Words die on the lips giving way to tears.

Roberto was a nice guy who was hard not to love. "Everyone called me," said Mayor Alberto Loddo, "the death of a cheerful young man from a well-liked family leaves everyone dismayed."

Shut up in silence with her mother Ivana, her father Marino, a worker from Forestas and her sister Genny, the first to arrive in the Isili shed. Paralyzed also the small community of Villanova Tulo, a town of just over a thousand inhabitants, where Roberto Usai was part of the football team and the folk group where he proudly showed off the Sardinian costume in parades and dances in the square. A joyful life, which ended suddenly in a circumstance impossible to accept.
