Gigi Riva is moved: «Today a respectable person passed away, a close friend».

The honorary president of Cagliari, a former rossoblù and national team bomber, as soon as he learned of the death of Enzo Molinas, looks back on forty years of memories and tells some anecdotes related to the Professor, who over time became home: « He helped me when I was sick as a player , I met the person and, later, as director and president of Cagliari, I took him with me into the rossoblù dressing room and, I must say, in his activity as team coach, he was formidable».

Riva retraces the years in which Molinas worked with him in Cagliari, also of the team that came close to Europe reaching sixth place, but also those of the foundation of the Gigi Riva football school, which gave Sardinian and national football (primarily Nicolò Barella ) many talents.

«Ours was a true friendship, forty years old, concludes Riva. « Now I have in mind the most beautiful image of Enzo, when he entered the locker room and solved the players' problems. And with twenty-two players in the squad there were so many problems, every day ». Riva carries with him a lesson from Molinas: «When I was injured and maybe down, he made me talk. What I then did with the players of Cagliari and the national team, I can say I learned from him».
