A Foras: «Checks on an anti-colonialist militant, at home and in the self-managed workshop. Genocide in Palestine and they want to intimidate us»Per restare aggiornato entra nel nostro canale Whatsapp
«This morning the Digos showed up at the home of an anti-colonialist militant from Cagliari to search his home, his car and the collective space of the Officina Autogestita Kasteddu, which he frequents». The business is located in Viale Monastir.
The report comes from the A Foras Committee, active in contesting the military presence in Sardinia. The agents' activity is linked to the riots that occurred at the demonstration for Palestine and against the military exercise "Joint Stars 2025" last Saturday, during which the procession tried to approach the ship Trieste docked at the port of Cagliari, protected by a group of police forces.
Police and carabinieri blocked the demonstrators and tensions ensued, with small scuffles and the explosion of a firecracker thrown near the police forces.
The intent, according to the antimilitarists, "is to intimidate and repress those who take part in the moments of the square and the fight against the war and the exploitation of our land. This is also evident from the material seized by the Officina, such as banners and other procession materials."
In a period in which we are witnessing "a large military exercise in Sardinia, the genocide in Palestine does not stop, European rearmament is upon us and security decrees are becoming increasingly stringent, the Italian State continues in its historic role as defender of war and repressor of dissent".
