The 27th Abbabula Festival will close with an unprecedented pairing: tomorrow in Sassari in Piazza Moretti, starting at 8:30 pm, a concert by singer-songwriter and pianist Raphael Gualazzi together with the Marialisa de Carolis orchestra .

Together with Raphael Gualazzi also his official band, composed with Anders Ulrich at   double bass, Gianluca Nanni on drums, and Danilo Rossi —a special guest and former principal viola at Milan's Teatro alla Scala—on viola. Conducting the orchestra and arrangements will be entrusted to maestro Stefano Nanni , one of the most versatile musicians and conductors on the Italian scene. This top-notch ensemble promises to transform every note into an experience in itself.

This is a co-production with the Dromos Festival and in fact the concert will be repeated on Thursday evening in Neoneli.

The artistic director of the Abbabula Festival, Barbara Vargiu, said: "This original production, created by bringing together an important local group like the De Carolis Orchestra and one of Italy's most interesting and significant artists, Raphael Gualazzi, seems to us the perfect conclusion to this edition of the Abbabula Festival. This edition, in addition to embracing multiple generations and types of listeners and enthusiasts, also saw the festival return to Sassari, its confirmation in Alghero, and the birth of a new collaboration with Sennori."
