Neither family abuse nor stalking. A forty-seven year old from Sassari ended up acquitted yesterday in court in Sassari of the two charges with which he had ended up on trial. He was accused of having persecuted his ex-partner, in the period from 2016 to 2017, with continuous insults and humiliations, and scenes motivated by paranoid jealousy. Also accusing her, as the accusation says, of having suffered too much for her father's death and, distracted by mourning, of having neglected him without loving him enough.
There are several episodes described to substantiate the accusation of persecutory acts such as, so the indictment reports, having insulted the forty-two year old in front of her daughter or having shown up on several occasions at her workplace offending her in front of customers.
But the offended party referred the complaint to the latter side and the accused, defended by the lawyer Franco Fois, was judged only on the first charge. Being acquitted by judge Antonello Spanu who, in this way, also accepted the request of prosecutor Antonio Piras.
