The Candelieri return to their chapels. Yesterday in Sassari, the Octave of the Assumption was held, which traditionally concludes the celebrations associated with the Faradda. Eight days after the vow to the Madonna was made in front of the churchyard of the Church of Santa Maria di Betlem, in the cloister of the sacred building, at the end of Mass and before the Sleeping Virgin, Father Guardian Salvatore Sanna gave his blessing to those present and renewed his good wishes.

This year, however, the candles were taken from a tent inside the structure, rather than from the cloister. The municipal administration explained this decision to preserve the Candelieri, while Intergremio president Fabio Madau also emphasized the need to safeguard the health of the bearers, who were forced to make dangerous maneuvers in the cloister to exit. Yesterday, however, the candles were made to dance after their smooth passage, without stairs or detours, from the tent structure to the square. But the city's decision to move them was not welcomed by everyone, especially since it was nearly impossible for residents and onlookers to see the Candelieri during these eight days. Following their arrival in the square and the bearers' dance, the Candelieri were removed, postponed until 2027 for the next Faradda.
