"Protected wetland area on the coast transformed into a parking lot in Golfo Aranci": ecological complaint

Dozens of cars parked inside the humid and protected area, on the banks of the pond, close to the dunes. It happens in Cala Sassari, in the territory of Golfo Aranci .

A scenario that the ecologists of the Legal Intervention Group do not like, who have sent images and a detailed exposition to the Olbia Harbor Master's Office, the Superintendence of Sassari, the Municipality of Golfo Aranci, the Forestry and the Temple Prosecutor's Office.

"Can a backdunal pond be transformed - perhaps for a fee - into a car park?" asks the president of the association, Stefano Deliperi. He explains: “The area belongs to the maritime state property. It is protected by landscape and integral conservation restrictions ". According to the environmentalist, "that wetland needs effective environmental protection, not permanent degradation".
