Half an hour of fear erupted this morning at Cagliari City Hall: a frantic fifty-year-old man burst into the town hall around 2:00 PM and threatened everyone present in an attempt to reach Mayor Massimo Zedda's office.

The staff tried to calm him down, but the situation escalated: the man, shouting incoherent phrases, demanded a meeting with the mayor to secure a job.

In an attempt to reassure him , Social Policy Councillor Anna Puddu also contacted him, but her goal was unsuccessful.

To stop the fifty-year-old, local police officers and Carabinieri officers, who arrived in force at Palazzo Bacaredda, had to intervene: the man was handcuffed and restrained.

According to what we understand, it is the same man who had been rescued shortly before by the Carabinieri in the Castello district .
