A reward of 10,000 euros for anyone who, with documented evidence, reports those responsible for arson . The proposal comes after yet another day of fire in Sardinia , made by the Agricultural Studies Center (Csa).
"It's time to react with firmness and responsibility - attack the president Tore Piana and the vice Stefano Ruggiu - The criminals of fire must know that the community will no longer cover them . In addition to civic sense, we need more men, more resources and a truly effective regional strategy. Too many fires are devastating Sardinia. We are convinced that most of them are of malicious origin . It's time to say enough with words and move on to facts".
Csa also asks the Region to strengthen surveillance and control of the territory, to increase the number of firefighters and to start an awareness campaign that directly involves citizens. Because "Sardinian farmers and breeders cannot continue to see their lands, animals and life's work erased by the criminal madness of a few" .
