Quartucciu, the works for the replacement of 280 meters of water pipelines are underway

There is also Quartucciu in the plan of interventions financed by Egas.

The resources – drawn from the FSC Development and Cohesion Fund 2014-2020 – for the intervention amount to approximately 235 thousand euros . The executive project, signed by Abbanoa SpA , was recently approved by the institution. The works, which involve the replacement of approximately 280 meters of obsolete, deteriorated and undersized pipelines for the real network needs, can now be tendered.

The new pipes will be made of nodular cast iron and will replace the older ones in steel, gray cast iron or asbestos cement.

"We are vigilant to protect the community and the water asset as well as planning targeted and effective activities to reinforce this action. The island, from large cities to the smallest towns, must be placed in conditions of equal dignity of treatment and essential services, such as it is the water one”, declares the President of Egas Fabio Albieri .

The areas of the town affected by the works will be Via Ales, Via Arbus, Via Beato Angelico, Via Dei Mulini, Via Isili and Vico Planargia . The intervention is aimed at improving the water supply and reducing the phenomenon of its dispersion.
