Quartu, the painting of a station of the Via Crucis stolen

Bad surprise at the Via Crucis in the Sacro Cuore district which took place yesterday evening in Quartu Sant'Elena . Someone has stolen the picture of the ninth station arranged by the residents and supplied by the parish in via Settembrini at the crossroads with via Trieste.

Only the cross and the crown remained which had been set up with such care. The picture had no economic value but a great religious value . For this reason, the episode has aroused great indignation, not only in the neighborhood but throughout the city.

The residents have appealed to the thieves inviting them to put a hand on their conscience and to return the painting even anonymously, going to leave it directly in the parish of the Sacred Heart.
