Last mile for the new Pul of Quartu, a long-awaited urban planning tool for the city to develop its tourist potential, always with the utmost respect for the environment. The City Council has approved the new Plan with the integration of observations deemed suitable. The process is therefore coming to an end, with the ball now in the Region's court.
"Unfortunately, the approval of these plans forces us to deal with a truly cumbersome regulation. I believe the administrative burden required to approve an instrument that should be agile is truly excessive", the comment in the Chamber by the Councilor for Urban Planning Aldo Vanini, underlining how the Council has adopted the Plan for a year now, with the consequent publication of the documents, made available for any observations.
The observations submitted were 38 from private individuals and 6 from institutions, with consequent publication for 60 days. The Council bodies then examined them: many of them were approved, others were not. Yesterday the chamber ratified the transfer of those approved within the plan, which has already passed the Vas procedure, by the Metropolitan City, and the Vinca procedure, by the Region, as well as other hydrogeological checks due to the Authority of the area. The Pul as approved yesterday in the City Council in the next few days will be republished and sent to the Landscape Protection Office for the final opinion: it has 90 days to approve it.
"Informally, he is already aware of the decisions of the council regarding the observations. Now he will have the opportunity to verify whether these assessments, reported in the documents, both graphic and administrative, have responded to the various requirements", explained the representative of the Milia Council.
"The hope is that they are considered to be complied with, or at least a favorable opinion is issued with possible small requirements." If this is not the case, in fact, it will be necessary to take note of the counter-arguments by the Landscape Protection Office and proceed with a further step in the Council to conclude the process.
