Protect, enhance, and promote three of the most characteristic and distinctive crops of the Aritzo area: chestnut, hazelnut, and walnut, and restore the centuries-old chestnut groves. This natural, cultural, and economic heritage is deeply rooted in the history and tradition of Barbagia. The new "Aritzo Chestnut, Hazelnut, and Walnut Association, "Toto Pranteddu," was founded with this goal in mind. Named after a key figure in the community, a passionate advocate of local biodiversity and agricultural and pastoral traditions, the association aims to be a meeting point for producers, scholars, young entrepreneurs, and citizens committed to protecting and rediscovering the Aritzo agroforestry landscape.

The presentation will be held next Saturday, July 12th, at 11:00 a.m. in the Press Room of the MURA Museum in Aritzo. The first president will be Nicola Melis. The association's goals will be presented, along with the initial projects planned for 2025-2026. Local administrators, regional councilors, parliamentarians, university professors, and Coldiretti executives will be in attendance.
