Quartu Sant'Elena: hit by a van while crossing Viale Colombo

An 80-year-old pensioner was hit at dawn while crossing Viale Colombo in Quartu Sant'Elena.

The man was helped by the driver of the vehicle and by other passing motorists. The ambulance arrived immediately with the injured person transferred to the Monserrato Polyclinic where health checks are underway.

Fortunately, the eighty-year-old would be in danger of losing his life. The Carabinieri of the Quartu mobile radio unit are on site and, coordinated by Captain Ignazio Cabras, are completing the legal investigations. The elderly man would have been hit on the pedestrian crossing. Investigations are underway.
