Just enough time to get back to school after the summer and it's already vacation time again for the students at the elementary school on Via Beethoven. It's all the fault of the mice, spotted both inside and outside the building, forcing the closure for a few days while rodent control treatments continue.

School will be closed starting tomorrow, with classes returning to school on Wednesday the 30th after completing all cleaning work. Pro Service technicians, appointed by the Metropolitan City, will be in action today from 10:30 to 11:00 a.m. to place the bait. An initial inspection will take place on Thursday at approximately the same time. These inspections will continue over the following days to assess the effectiveness of the treatment.

The baits will then be collected on Tuesday the 29th. For the entire duration of the treatment, no people or animals are allowed in the affected area. The baits must not be touched in any way. Furthermore, before reopening the premises, as stated in the ordinance, "the treated premises must be ventilated and cleaned; cleaning staff must wear gloves and suitable personal protective equipment."

Before the start of the school year, the Municipality and Pro Service had initiated a series of checks in schools to prevent closures due to rats, but unfortunately the problem arose later in Via Beethoven.
