Another serious road accident in via Marconi in Quartu, one of the streets where pedestrians have been frequently hit for some time. A 25-year-old woman is hospitalized with a reserved prognosis at Brotzu, in the neurosurgery department, after being hit by a Fiat Panda driven by a woman. It happened around 8 this morning, while the woman was crossing the street - almost at the intersection with via Volta - headed towards the bus stop.

A very violent impact, so much so that the girl broke the windshield of the car. The driver of the car immediately stopped to provide first aid, desperate. The injured, who remained conscious throughout, was transported by 118 ambulance to Brotzu in red code .

Local police officers also intervened on site, for the first surveys and to understand if the twenty-five year old was actually crossing on the pedestrian crossing. Traffic immediately went haywire, with long queues on Viale Marconi and Via Cagliari, now the circulation is back to normal. Not even two months ago another serious accident a few meters away: another woman, also hit, on the pedestrian crossing at the corner of Via Volta .

The shopkeepers in the area, who - once again - witnessed the accident, reiterated their cry of alarm: " We can't go on like this, there's an accident on this street almost every day . We need to put raised pedestrian crossings."
