A 45-year-old man was arrested by the Carabinieri of the Cagliari Provincial Command during extraordinary control operations carried out on the night between Friday and Saturday, on the occasion of the Halloween celebrations.

The handcuffs were snapped on in Quartu Sant'Elena, where the officers noticed suspicious movements near a gate in a residential area.

The Carabinieri immediately realized that the scene they were witnessing didn't exactly fit the usual "trick-or-treating" scenario: a man was in fact passing small packages through the gate of his home, receiving money in exchange.
The man was then stopped, identified, and searched. Twenty-one doses of cocaine ready for sale were found, along with cash.

The drugs and money were seized, while the pusher – a 45-year-old unemployed man – was placed under house arrest , pending a validation hearing with a fast-track procedure before the Judicial Authority.
