Quartu, Frankie hi-nrg is on Tuesday for “Rethinking the city”

A week of initiative, right between the end of August and the beginning of September. From Tuesday, in Quartu, off to the review "Rethinking the city and the city" , with culture, shows and gastronomy as protagonists.

We'll get off to a strong start right away, with the pioneer of Italian rap Franki hi-nrg who will perform a profound monologue between words and music, through which hip-hop will be told and told again and again. At the Operà Arena, from 9 pm, the artist will simulate a documentary, with a strong autobiographical imprint.

From 18 in the municipal library in via Dante, on the other hand, there will be the presentation of the book by Manuela Pompas “Medinity. A bridge to the light": it will be the first appointment with the "Dorian festival" , which will continue on Wednesday with another text, at the same time and always in the library, the work of Mariella Cortes "The Great Book of Unwritten Stories".

Thursday at 18.30 the concert of two independent artists from Quarto, Dan and Dedalo, while at 19.30 an important cultural appointment with the historian Francesco Casula : he will deal with the Savoy and their misdeeds during the 226 years of domination. To converse with him, Giuseppe Melis and Claudia Aru , who from 21.30 will kick off his concert "Sardinia caput mundi".

The next day, at 7pm, more music, this time in Parodi Park, with "Sonheros - Musica Callejera" by maestro Rinaldo Pinna. At 21 the return to the center of Quartu, with the notes still protagonists: it will be the turn, at the Antica casa Olla, of the concert with Lynn Cassier on vocals, Manolo Cabras on double bass and Antonio Pisano on drums.

On Saturday it's up to food and wine, with the intertwining of cultures from all over the world (among others Ukraine, Mozambique, Algeria, Lebanon, Argentina, Cuba, India, Haiti, Dominican Republic) to propose their culinary tradition with "Kumbidus - Cuisine and dances from around the world” . First, at 7 pm in Pitz'e Serra park, the Palazzo d'Inverno and its Stravanato Sciò will present a juggling show for children and adults with Simone Orrù: a show that will be repeated on Sunday, on the final day which will introduce a new chapter for “Between Words and Music”.
