Simone Gallus's Rossoblù museum on Via Diaz in Quartu has acquired a new piece of memorabilia. It now houses Roberto Boninsegna's 1967 jersey, the legendary Bonimba, as journalist Gianni Brera nicknamed him during his time in Cagliari. It's a piece of history that preserves the memory of a football of times gone by that has always remained in the hearts of fans.
The jersey is the symbol of an era and the latest gem in a museum inaugurated in 2018, which has also provided memorabilia for films such as "Life Goes This Way." The museum continues to grow thanks to the perseverance of its founder and the generosity of the Rossoblu fans. A journey that symbolically began in 2006 when Gallus' wife Sonia gave him his first jersey, sparking a historical research that has been unstoppable ever since.
Over the years, the museum on Via Diaz has become a destination for countless fans, who travel by bus from other towns on the island. It houses 850 jerseys, including the Bonimba jersey with the historic label from the Isolabella knitwear factory in Genoa, making it one of the oldest and heaviest in the entire collection.
