In Quartu , 2 out of 6 comprehensive institutions risk closing with the resolution on school sizing . But the Municipality does not give up, announcing that the administration will appear before the TAR. In the meantime, the proposal of the mayor Graziano Milia to appoint a lawyer to «examine the conditions for the admissibility and the experiment of the consequent legal action aimed at avoiding the ongoing sizing», starting from next September.

Quartu's last position statement was a letter addressed by Milia to the regional education councilor Andrea Biancareddu, where "our opposition to the sizing project" was underlined. «Now, in the absence of concrete confirmation of our doubts – explains the mayor – we find ourselves forced to take legal action against a decision that we believe is unfair and humiliating for our territory and for the local school system, which in recent years has shown encouraging growth and vitality precisely in those realities that today we would like to erase".

For Milia «the school is today at the center of significant processes and interventions such as those included in the Pnrr , in which the presence of the manager is a guarantee of participation and sharing in the implementation of the planned actions. In light of these challenges, it is necessary to recover an overall and organic vision of the interventions to be implemented in the world of school, which envisages a long-term investment in the education and training sector, with new resources and above all with a reforming vision capable of give answers to Sardinian society, to families and young people who embark on their education journey. The complete opposite of what is happening today."
