Pula: next summer the traffic police will also work at night
The hours of service of the local police have been extended to guarantee safety for tourists and residents
Green light to extend the hours of service of the local police into the night hours: from 1 July until mid-September, the police will guarantee their presence in the area to provide greater safety for tourists and residents.
The Pula officers will strengthen controls not only in the historic center, but also in the city parks and in the peripheral areas of the territory. Furthermore, the presence of officers will be fundamental in the event of road accidents and reports or calls from citizens.
For the deputy mayor Elisabetta Loi, the decision to extend the hours of service of the local police also at night demonstrates the desire to guarantee greater safety to visitors and residents: «This measure represents yet another effort by our administration to make Pula a an increasingly safe and human-scale town even in the summer months, where the number of residents grows significantly, and with it also the need to have a constant presence of the police force".
